How to make a sitemap

Don't worry this is so easy, though now it sounds you a bit rarely you will see how youlearn in one moment.

For start we have to define what is a sitemap.

A Sitemap is a tool for we can announce the engine of search total the pages that wehave got in our site and that way allow a better indexation by part of them.

It is just a detailed list of all the pages of your site.

One sitemap can be made manually but you have to know the structure, but this time we willdo it automaticaly.

For make our sitemap we go to one sitemap generator like this one : Google Site Map Generator.

In the center bar u have to introduit the url of your webpage and press send.


Then take a look how appears all the pages of your site and left of the pages appear oneplus sign, the one than you need to press for incorporate all the pages than you can.


One time finished the previous step you have to choose and copy all the list of your site.


Open the Notepad and paste the content of your sitemap, then press save as.. and save it as:

Name: sitemap.xml
Type: Select all archives
Codify: UTF-8.

Ok, you have got your sitemap finished, but now you have to announce it for google forexample can know it.

Up it to the principal root of your site and go to webmaster's tools in google where youhave to press Sitemap (left menu).

Then of your web adress, type sitemap.xml and press send sitemap.

Okey, so it's done, now you have to wait for google detect it and take a look for how manypages has indexed. This can take some moments so don't worries.

Take a look of your sitemap can't be weighter than 10MB and cant has more than 50.000 urls,in that chase you have to make some sitemap.

The position of the urls doesn't matter.

The sitemap don't affect to your positionament, but u give more pages to know to google, sou got more chance of the people enter in your site.

AS all the positionament world, one tool dont affect to your positionament, but with othertools more it worth.

For example in this blog you can't make one sitemap because the blog makes it and you can'tmodify it. But you can "show" to google with the before procedement.

You only have to go to webmaster's tools/Sitemap and then of the blog addres put atom.xml asthis as:

http://URWEBADRESS.blogspot.com/atom.xml
